Each part of the model number gets its own color, so you can see which digits set the flange, the rotation and the pinion. Covers SS100, 150BM, SS175/SS350, SS800, 150T/ST150, ST400 to ST1000 and T480.

Where to find the model number
- The plate is usually riveted to the motor housing. On turbine starters it can be on the gear case or the turbine module.
- Painted over? Clean it gently with a rag and solvent, or take a photo at an angle in good light.
- No plate at all? Count the pinion teeth, note the flange bolt pattern and the rotation, and send them with the engine model. We can still identify it.
